Lonna Bowstripe

For my son -- one of his favorite characters out of the Brian Jaques Redwall books. Lots of talking, clothes-wearing, weapons-bearing animals. The runes on the wall are from a cipher in one of the books -- took my son 30 seconds to read the message back to me without consulting the key.

This is my first pen & ink in years. It was fun to get my hands dirty again, instead of just craning my neck over my laptop with my tablet. I like the feel of the paper and the smell of the ink (just not toooo much smelling). If you're interested in seeing the whole process from start to finish, I've posted it here.

I didn't know how to do a badger head, so I looked a bunch up. I used [link] by schultzy-1978 as a reference to do my initial sketch.
